Stopping Snoring Gives Great Benefits for Men
Snoring affects about 40 percent of men and 25 percent women. Snoring habits can actually be stopped and men who can do it will have a good sexual health.
People who snores usually will produce a hoarse , hissing and grunting voice while breathing during sleep. This sleep disturbance is said to damage men’s sexual lives and difficulties to do foreplays.
A researchers revealed that men who stopped snoring had a nice benefit that could help his sex life because it increases the strength of erection.
“All the tissues in the body needs oxygen in order to be healthy and penile tissues is one that is very sensitive. When someone snores then this condition will rob oxygen needed by the penis,” said Dr. J. Stephen Jones, MD, FACS a urologist from the Cleveland Clinic, according to Menshealth.
Lack of oxygen intake received will make the body become unhealthy, one of which affects the ability of one’s erection. Therefore, if someone could stop this sleep disorder, then they will be able to improve erection.
There are some things that can be done to stop snoring habits, which are:
1. Lying on your side
People will tend to snore when sleeping on their back (head facing up), while sleeping on stomach (head facing down) will make the neck and breathing tortured during sleep. Try to sleep sideways to stop this sleep disorder.
2. Reduce weight
Being overweight, especially in the neck will put pressure on the respiratory system. The condition causes people to snore during sleep.
3. Avoid alcohol and sleeping pills
Alcohol and sleeping pills can suppress the central nervous system and relaxation of muscles of neck and jaw that makes people more likely to snore. Both these substances are also known to cause sleep apnea disorder, which is a dangerous condition that is associated with heart disease.
4. Elevating the head
Sleeping with the head elevated will release some pressure on the respiratory system, making breathing easier. Raise the head of the bed by placing wooden blocks under the bed or prop your upper body with pillows (not just the head, because it can actually inhibit breathing).
5. Stop smoking
Smoking can harm the respiratory system that ultimately can make people snore.
